Obsessions are healthy, right?

mondoshawan555A few months ago I didn't really pay any attention to handball. It was just one of those weird sports that I don't really understand. But now... well now I watch handball. A lot. Handball isn't a big thing in Finland for whatever dumbass reason so I had no idea what a big deal it is in other countries. But I'm happy to say my eyes have been opened and I'm slowly learning.

Sigh... Aren't they just the cutest?
Anyway... while the fact is that every little moment between them makes me squee like there's no tomorrow I have to admit I've lost my heart to Katja. There was something about her right from the beginning and the more I see her play and just be herself the more I adore her. Let's look at more pics...

But no, that's not all... There's also that thing with the video message. My friend who is beyond fantastic (you know who you are...) started going to IBEH's games (that's Katja and Gro's team in Denmark) and decided to video them. Then she had this crazy idea that she's gonna ask Katja to call me. Seriously. And when she gets an idea in her head there's no way to convince her otherwise. I begged and I begged that she wouldn't do it but yes, she did it. I was biting my nails at home hoping the phone wouldn't ring. Ok, so you might think I'm out of my mind not wanting it to happen because hello, it's Katja Nyberg! But I had no idea what I could possibly say to her and didn't want to make a complete ass of myself. Well, thankfully Katja was too shy to make that call (can she be more adorable?!) but my friend convinced her to make me a video message, in finnish (yes, she can be more adorable!!). So she spoke the language she's pretty much forgotten and said hello from Denmark to a total stranger.
*thud*
So yeah, I'm pretty much a goner. Actually so much that I'm going to Germany next month so that my dear friends there can take me to Denmark to watch handball. Yes, that's pretty gone when I'm concerned, taking that the last time I was out of this country was 17 years ago. But guess it's about time, and could there possibly be a better reason?
Yeah, didn't think so.
Oh yeah, and let's not forget... my other friend who is also beyond fantastic (you know who you are too...) got me this:
Someone with this firmly on her head is going to arrive in Germany on November 1st. You can count on it.
ETA: I've been told by the fantastic person who filmed that video from Katja that it was actually Katja's idea to make it. And I was told that I have to correct this misinformation so here is that correction. I was also told to stop fangirling and squeeing after I found out about this because I apparently sounded very embarrassing. But no, I won't stop. How cool is it that it was her idea?! *faints*
ETA2: One more correction I was told to make: ...that it was actually Katja's idea to make it INSTEAD OF THE CALL. (there, is it ok now??)
