Going on with the program

I've been spending some time lately catching up on shows. Mostly my attention has focused on Life, Gossip Girl and Torchwood. While Torchwood is severely lacking on the femslashy subtext department (and yeah, nice way to end the season...) the other two, especially Gossip Girl, have more than made up for it.

Yes, after following [personal profile] fembuck's endless squee-posts about Waldsen and Bleighton I have finally joined the masses on this. I only just recently started to watch the series and damn, Serena and Blair had it from the start. I have to admit there has been plenty of squeeing and girlish giggling involved while I've been watching the eps.

I don't like the teenage drama at all, I'm pretty much opposed to drama in general unless it's made really well. But the chemistry between Serena and Blair is something so fine that I got stuck. I have to avert my eyes every time either of them is making out with some guy but any scene they have together makes up for that. And yes, I can't help but join the Bleighton train too. Every pic I see of them together is just too cute for words. I don't usually do real life fangirling but maybe I can make an exception... because one has to wonder how it's possible for them to look the other all the time like she's the most amazing thing in the world? It boggles the mind... They are so made for each other.

Then there's Life. I really like this show, it's refreshing. Now you wouldn't necessarily be expecting any subtext squee from it because it's just Sarah Shahi there (which isn't to say that just Sarah Shahi is bad because she looks mighty fine in this). But no, she's not the only woman there. There's that lieutenant of theirs (played by Robin Weigert).

And I must say that I've found myself more than once staring at her in admiration and from that the idea of her and Dani started to form. And now I'm kinda hoping someone was slashing these two.

And my favorite quote: "15 pounds of pure bunny."

Now if I could just get myself to watch Criminal Minds, I've promised too many people already that I'd give it a shot. And yeah, that entirely inappropiate McLeod's Daughters thing... Peer pressure is a horrible thing.
